The Shapes

The shapes were a great little band, a mix of mid sixties psychedelia and early seventies rock... they wore the widest flared trousers, long hair and flowery shirts, they were involved in the swirling mixing pop music scene that would eventually a few years later evolve into britpop, they were part of a scene of young bands not only influenced by classic rock but also the smiths, rem and the stone roses... other british bands like revolver, a thousand yard stare and ride, were all part of this growing scene.. as were the shapes.
